Grossi: No Evidence That Iran Moved 400 Kilograms of Enriched Uranium Before U.S. Attacks

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said that the agency’s inspectors have only accessed the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant and have not yet entered the Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz nuclear facilities.

According to Saed News, Rafael Grossi, Director General of the IAEA, announced that inspectors of the UN nuclear watchdog had entered Iran’s nuclear site.

Rafael Grossi stated on Wednesday evening in a press briefing: “IAEA inspectors have entered Iran and currently have access to the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, but they have not yet visited the Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz sites. Our work has begun, but we are not yet at the point I intended. Dialogues must continue to reach better conditions. This issue must be resolved as soon as possible because inspections cannot be limited only to non-targeted facilities.”

Regarding the 400 kilograms of Iran’s enriched uranium, he added: “There is no indication that Iran moved this material before the U.S. attacks. We have found no evidence to the contrary, and there is nothing to suggest the material is elsewhere.”

Grossi also added: “Iranian authorities have confirmed the same.”

Referring to his recent meetings with U.S. officials, without condemning the aggressive attacks by the U.S. and Israel during Tehran-Washington negotiations against Iran, he said: “I feel they are ready to engage in dialogue, provided the talks are meaningful. The United States emphasizes direct contact.”
