Modi took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share details about their dialogue, stating that he discussed “India’s full support for early return of peace and stability” in Ukraine. This sentiment underscores India’s commitment to international peace and highlights its role as a significant player in the geopolitical landscape, particularly in relation to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Moreover, Modi raised concerns about the safety of Hindus and other religious minorities in neighboring Bangladesh following the ousting of the country's long-serving prime minister earlier this month. Following the call, the White House released a statement commending Modi's engagement with Ukraine and his recent visit to Poland, one of Ukraine's closest allies in Eastern Europe.
