According to a source cited by DailyMail, the 51-year-old star of Gone Girl and the 55-year-old singer of “On The Floor” are moving forward with their split and finalizing their divorce paperwork. Multiple sources have indicated that the couple has "finalized" their divorce documents but has "not yet submitted" them.
This surprising development comes on the heels of Affleck’s recent purchase of a $20.5 million bachelor pad mansion in Pacific Palisades, which occurred shortly after Lopez hosted a Bridgerton-themed birthday celebration. Notably, Affleck was absent from the birthday festivities, though Lopez was still seen wearing her wedding rings.
“Things were finalized regarding the divorce papers about a month ago, but they are waiting for the right moment to officially file,” an insider revealed. “When they do, they plan to release a joint statement expressing their love for one another and acknowledging that they fought for their relationship but ultimately could not make it work.”
Another insider added, “In the end, they just couldn’t reach a compromise. What they once had is gone, and they’ve both accepted that.”
