Ingredients for 4 Servings
Boiled potatoes: 6 medium
Pizza cheese: 2 cups
Egg: 1
Butter: 3 tablespoons
White flour: approximately ½ cup
Chives: 2 tablespoons
Breadcrumbs: ½ cup
Salt and black pepper: to taste
Turmeric and oil: to taste
Recipe for Cheesy Potato Kuku
Step 1:
To prepare cheesy potato kuku, first grate the boiled potatoes using a fine grater and place them in a large bowl. Next, add butter, some salt, black pepper, and turmeric to the bowl.
Step 2:
In this step, mix the ingredients well until they resemble mashed potatoes. Then, finely chop the chives and add them along with the pizza cheese, white flour, and egg to the bowl. Mix everything together.
Step 3:
If the mixture is too loose after thoroughly mixing, add more flour to make it more cohesive. Then, place the breadcrumbs in a suitable bowl and set it aside for later use.
Step 4:
Place a suitable pan on the stove, and pour some oil into the pan. Once the oil is hot, take a walnut-sized portion of the mixture and shape it like a patty with your hands, then place it into the hot oil.
Step 5:
Now, let the kuku fry. Once the underside of the kuku is browned, flip it over to cook the other side. Once done, place the cooked kuku on a serving dish and serve hot with bread.
