Today, we will teach you another exceptional version—Shabiri-Style Green Bean Rice, made with diced chicken breast. Stay with us as we walk you through this delicious recipe.
This dish begins by sautéing onions and saffron-marinated chicken, followed by adding spices and parboiled green beans. These ingredients are then layered with turmeric-infused rice, steamed to perfection, and finally enriched with hot oil for enhanced flavor. It pairs beautifully with yogurt or salad for a complete and satisfying meal.
Steamed green beans – 1 cup
Rice – 2 cups
Chicken breast – 1 piece
Onion – 1 large
Dried dill – 1 tablespoon
Saffron – As needed
Cinnamon stick – 1 piece
Salt, black pepper, turmeric – As needed
If using fresh green beans, blanch them:
Bring a pot of water to a boil.
Add the green beans and boil for 5 minutes.
Immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water, then drain.
Remove the bones from the chicken breast and dice it into cubes.
Mix the chicken with a little saffron for added flavor.
Slice the onion and sauté it in a pan with oil and turmeric until golden.
