SAEDNEWS: A prominent Middle East analyst, revealing the complex Israeli-American strategy to prevent the formation of powerful armies in countries neighboring occupied Palestine, predicted that in the near future, the Egyptian army will be targeted.
According to Saed News, Middle East affairs expert Elif Sabbagh has unveiled a joint Israeli-American strategy aimed at preventing the formation of powerful armies in the countries surrounding Israel. He warned that Egypt’s military might become a target of this policy in the near future.
As reported by the newspaper Rai al-Youm, in his analysis of the regional situation, Sabbagh stated:
"Israel's strategy, which is being implemented by the United States in the Middle East, is based on preventing the existence of strong armies around Israel." He explained that the U.S. representative in Syria and Lebanon is following a plan aimed at "dismantling the military structures of neighboring countries."
He added:
"The goal is to turn these countries into weak entities, fragmented along ethnic and sectarian lines, and lacking strong armies — something similar to the situation in the West Bank."
Sabbagh emphasized that this policy is not new and had previously been proposed by senior Israeli officials such as Amos Gilad, noting that "Israel's dominance over the region requires the weakening of surrounding armies."
The analyst went on to say:
"This is a long-term plan, and the Egyptian army will be targeted in the near future, as it is one of the last powerful military forces in the region."
This warning comes amid escalating political and military developments in the region, particularly in Lebanon and Syria, where calls to disarm Hezbollah and rebuild the Lebanese army have intensified.
It appears that U.S.-Israeli cooperation in this matter may extend to other countries as well, potentially paving the way for new confrontations in a region already grappling with instability.
Despite American and Israeli efforts, a key question remains: Can this strategy succeed, especially given the presence of regional powers like Egypt, which has a cohesive military and a long-standing role in maintaining regional balance?
These analyses are expected to spark wide reactions in Arab political and military circles, especially as the region enters a new phase that may involve major geopolitical shifts.
