Isaac Newton is one of the greatest scientists in history, but he wasn't always focused on brilliant scientific work.
According to the Society Service of SaadNews, quoting from KhabarOnline, Isaac Newton, the great English physicist who revolutionized our understanding of the world, had some odd theories in certain areas.
For example, the founder of the laws of motion and gravity, which transformed the field of physics, believed that the plague could be treated with a strange concoction made from a frog's body.
It goes without saying that this potion had no effect on curing the plague.
Newton also spent a significant portion of his life engaged in alchemy and the dream of turning metals into gold. Among these, his theory about the end of the world in 2060 is the strangest—and perhaps a bit terrifying.
Stephen Snobelen, director of the Newton Project in Canada, says: "Newton, using a series of simple mathematical calculations on a piece of paper, predicted the date of the end of the world. He considered the year 800 AD as the point when the church deviated from Christianity and, assuming this deviation would last 1,260 years, he arrived at the year 2060."
He believed that, on the threshold of this date, "wars and disasters" would occur, and torment and darkness would cover the world.
While Newton pinpointed this date, he also believed that no one but God knew the exact time of the apocalypse.
Now, over 300 years have passed since Newton’s calculations, and there is not much time left until that date. We now only need to wait 36 more years to see whether he was right or not.
