Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Algerian counterpart, Ahmed Attaf, have stressed the need to further bolster ties within international bodies.
Araghchi and Attaf held talks on the sidelines of the extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers from Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states in Jeddah on Monday.
During the meeting, both sides focused on enhancing cooperation within international bodies and reviewed the latest regional and international developments.
The two officials stressed the importance of active roles by independent and influential Islamic countries in countering destabilizing trends in the region, underlining the defense of the Palestinian nation’s rights across all global forums.
Expressing satisfaction with the current state of political ties, the top diplomats called for deepening cooperation in economic, commercial, scientific, and cultural fields, in addition to expanding engagement within international organizations and multilateral frameworks.
