SAEDNEWS: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani has reacted to statements issued by the United States and certain Western countries criticizing Iran’s human rights records on the second anniversary of riots in the country.
According to SAEDNEWS,
TEHRAN, Sept. 16 – The Iranian Foreign Ministry has spoken out against recent comments made by the United States and some Western nations regarding Iran's human rights practices. This reaction comes as the country marks the second anniversary of protests that took place in 2021.
In a statement posted on social media, Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani urged these countries to reflect on their own histories, which he claims are filled with human rights violations. He criticized the U.S. and its allies, calling them “professional violators of human rights” and accusing them of engaging in harmful conflicts around the world.
Kanaani also pointed to the ongoing situation in Gaza, stating that these countries’ support for Israel during what he described as a “genocidal war” serves as evidence of their poor human rights records.
He concluded his remarks by expressing that the concept of “shame” appears to be unfamiliar to the officials in some of these countries.
