SAEDNEWS: A direct bus line from Tehran to Najaf was launched ahead of the Arbaeen ritual.
According to SAEDNEWS, At the inaugural ceremony for the Tehran-Najaf direct bus line held at Tehran West Terminal, Mehdi Gholizadeh, the secretary of the Arbaeen Headquarters of the Roads Maintenance and Transportation Organization, announced exciting news for Iranian pilgrims. To facilitate their journey, five buses have already been dispatched from Tehran to the holy Iraqi city of Najaf.
Gholizadeh shared that the fare for this special pilgrimage service is set at 26 million rials. The launch of this bus line is significant as it offers a direct route for those participating in Arbaeen, an important event in Islamic culture.
The term "Arbaeen," meaning "forty" in Arabic, refers to the 20th day of Safar, the second month of the lunar calendar. This day marks the 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (PBUH) and his companions during the Ashura in 61 AH in Karbala. As one of the largest annual pilgrimages in the world, Arbaeen attracts millions of devotees, making the establishment of this bus line a welcomed development for those wishing to honor the memory of Imam Hussein and partake in the rituals of this solemn occasion.
