SAEDNEWS: The Speaker of Iran’s Parliament informed the President, through a letter, that the law approving the Islamic Republic of Iran’s accession to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (Palermo Convention) has been enacted.

According to SAEDNEWS: Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Parliament, in a letter to the President, in accordance with Article 123 of the Constitution, announced the enactment of the “Law on the Accession of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime” for implementation.

This law, passed in the open session of the Parliament on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, was approved as being in line with the expediency of the system by the Expediency Discernment Council on May 13, 2025, in accordance with Article 112 of the Constitution and Article 200 of the Parliament’s internal regulations.
