Flour (pastry or bakery) 1 cup
Butter 50 grams
Vegetable oil 1/3 cup
1 cup of sugar
2 tablespoons of rosewater
2 tablespoons of Nescafe powder
1 cup of water
1 teaspoon of ground cardamom
Place 1 cup of water (slightly less than a full cup) and 1 cup of sugar on heat until the sugar dissolves and it starts to boil. Add the ground cardamom. Dissolve the Nescafe in 1/4 cup of hot water and add it to the mixture. Let it boil for 2-3 minutes, then turn off the heat.
Sift the flour and place it in a pan. Gradually roast the flour on low heat for about 45 minutes, stirring patiently. Sift the flour again. Add the butter and oil. The flour should bubble in the oil, not remain powdery. Mix thoroughly, and if the mixture feels too powdery, add a little more vegetable oil. After sautéing, carefully and gradually add the warm syrup, stirring continuously until the halva thickens and comes together.
Once ready, you can decorate it however you like. You can transfer it to a serving dish and garnish as desired.
