SAEDNEWS: Iran is always ready to stand up to any aggression, and Israel will receive a response to its actions, the country’s ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali said.
According to SAEDNEWS, "There will be a response, but we do not know when exactly," the diplomat told TASS.
Regardless, the Islamic Republic of Iran remains fully prepared to counter any aggression, emphasizing that a response will be directed toward Israel, he noted.
According to a statement from the IRGC, Ismail Haniyeh and one of his bodyguards were martyred when their residence in Tehran was targeted on July 31.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh was "designed and implemented by the Zionist regime and supported by the criminal government of America."
In response to this act of terror by Israel, senior Iranian officials pledged to deliver a fitting reply to the Zionist regime. The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, indicated that the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh has set the stage for the Israeli regime to face severe repercussions.
On Saturday, Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani, the political adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to declare that steps have been taken to impose harsh penalties on a regime that only comprehends the language of force.
Shamkhani asserted that the Israeli regime's primary objective in targeting the worshipers at the Al-Tabin school in Gaza and assassinating martyr Ismail Haniyeh in Iran is to instigate war and undermine ceasefire negotiations.
He further explained that preparations for significant consequences for the Israeli regime have been initiated following legal, diplomatic, and media avenues.
