SAEDNEWS: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stressed that the support of the Islamic Republic for the Palestinian cause would not change by changing the country's administration
According to SAEDNEWS, Pezeshkian made these comments on Monday evening during a meeting with Ziad al-Nakhalah, the Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, who was in Iran to attend the presidential inauguration ceremony.
He described the meeting as a significant message to those who aim to create a rift between Iran and resistance groups, particularly the valiant and fraternal Palestinians.
Reiterating Iran’s unwavering stance on the plight of the oppressed, including the Palestinian people and the fight for the liberation of Al-Quds, Pezeshkian emphasized that this commitment remains steadfast regardless of changes in government.
He also called for increased efforts to foster unity among Islamic nations and to intensify pressure on the Zionist regime to cease its crimes and violence in Gaza.
Pezeshkian stated that Iran will work diplomatically to raise awareness about the crimes of the occupying Zionist regime, seeking to expand the fight against this oppressive regime beyond Islamic nations and stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people against inhumane acts.
In response, the Secretary General of the Islamic Jihad Movement expressed that the Palestinian people will always remember Iran's support.
Al-Nakhalah pointed out that Pezeshkian’s initial meetings with the leaders of Palestinian resistance groups send a powerful message to the region and the world. He remarked that the oppressed Palestinians in Gaza are courageously resisting the atrocities perpetrated by the regime and its regional allies, emphasizing that Iran's voice and position play a crucial role in sustaining their spirit of resistance and resilience.
He concluded by stating, "Despite the closure of all channels for aid delivery and the influx of weapons to the Zionists, the determination and bravery of the Palestinian fighters defy all expectations."
