SAEDNEWS: Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, the chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, recently spoke about the critical need for all-around defense preparations in Iran.
According to SAEDNEWS, He emphasized that these preparations are strategically important, especially given Iran's unique geographical and political situation, along with the various traditional and emerging threats in the region and beyond.
General Bagheri pointed out that passive defense is a key component of national power. He defined passive defense as a collection of civilian strategies aimed at enhancing deterrence, decreasing vulnerabilities, promoting national stability, and improving crisis management against various threats.
He praised the efforts of the Passive Defense Organization, which has effectively established the necessary defense measures to cope with critical and unusual situations in the country. This organization works under smart and forward-thinking policies to help maintain national peace.
In his remarks, General Bagheri stressed the necessity of intelligence and ongoing monitoring of potential threat sources to avoid surprises.
