How to Make Delicious Spinach and Cheese Omelette Rolls

Ingredients for Spinach and Cheese Omelette Rolls

  • Olive oil (for greasing the pan)

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1/3 cup of flour

  • 8 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon of mustard

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 2 cups of chopped spinach

  • 1.5 cups of grated cheddar cheese

Instructions for Spinach and Cheese Omelette Rolls

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Lightly grease a rectangular baking dish (25 x 37 cm). Line the dish with parchment paper, leaving about 3 cm of paper hanging over the edges to use as handles. Lightly grease the paper as well.

  2. Prepare the Mixture:
    In a medium bowl, combine the milk and flour, whisking them together until smooth. Add the eggs, mustard, 1 tablespoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and whisk until well blended.

  3. Bake the Omelette:
    Pour the egg mixture into the prepared baking dish, and spread the chopped spinach evenly on top. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges of the omelette are set and pulling away from the sides of the dish.

  4. Add Cheese:
    Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese over the omelette and return it to the oven for 2-4 more minutes, or until the cheese has melted.

  5. Roll the Omelette:
    Remove the omelette from the oven. Use the parchment paper handles to lift it out of the dish. Peel off the parchment paper and roll the omelette tightly. Use a sharp knife to slice the roll into portions and serve hot.

  • For the best flavor, use young, tender spinach leaves.

  • If you want to make the dish lighter, reduce the amount of cheese or omit it entirely.
