SAEDNEWS: A senior Hamas leader says Zionist regimes' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has no desire to reach a ceasefire agreement, as shown by continually issuing new demands when a deal gets close.
According to SAEDNEWS, A senior leader from Hamas has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of blocking ceasefire negotiations by constantly introducing new conditions. According to Hussam Badran, Netanyahu's actions show that he is not interested in reaching a peace agreement.
Badran stated in an interview with Anadolu news agency, “It’s clear now that Netanyahu and his government do not want to finalize a deal. Every time we get close to an agreement, Netanyahu adds new demands that weren’t there before.”
The situation has intensified as large crowds of Israelis took to the streets last weekend, protesting the deaths of six captives in Gaza. This public outcry is putting additional pressure on Netanyahu.
As part of any potential ceasefire, Netanyahu has insisted on keeping Israeli troops stationed along the Gaza border with Egypt. This requirement is one of the ongoing disagreements in the talks.
