SAEDNEWS: The New York Times reported that Tehran has maintained roughly 70 percent of its prewar stockpile of missiles and mobile launch platforms.
According to the political desk of Saed News, citing Al Mayadeen, The New York Times reported that classified U.S. intelligence assessments indicate Iran has once again gained operational access to a large portion of its missile sites, launch platforms, and underground facilities. This finding contradicts claims made by Donald Trump regarding the destruction of Iran’s military capabilities.
Based on these assessments, Iran is said to have regained operational control over 30 out of 33 missile sites along the Strait of Hormuz, with only three sites remaining inoperable.
The report further emphasizes that Tehran has retained approximately 70% of its pre-war missile stockpiles and mobile launch platforms. Additionally, nearly 90% of its underground missile storage and launch facilities are described as “fully or partially operational.”
According to The New York Times, these findings call into question statements made by officials in the Trump administration, including Pete Hegseth, who had asserted that Iran’s military capabilities had been completely destroyed.
