With the release of her upcoming film It Ends With Us, Lively took a break from Hollywood glam to showcase her creative side by crafting adorable costumes for her daughters, James, Inez, and Betty.

Taking inspiration from the iconic witch outfits in Hocus Pocus, Lively embraced her role as a hands-on mom. She revealed, “I got cloaks on Etsy and went to the Garment District, got all the trims. Look, I did all this—the sweetheart shape, the details on the sleeve...” Her passion for costume-making was evident as she poured her heart into every detail.

Blake also took to her Instagram account to provide a sneak peek of the enchanting costumes she designed. She shared her process, admitting, "In fairness, I don't know how to pattern make." Rather than feeling daunted by this challenge, Lively found a creative workaround. “I start with a base dress (or broom or wig) from Etsy or Amazon and build out all the layers and trim and details and flourishes and build from there,” she explained.

Lively’s love for DIY stems from her childhood, where she watched her mother craft everything from scratch. “My mom used to make everything from scratch. I LOVED and appreciated that so much but never learned how myself,” she noted, highlighting the sentimental connection to her family roots.
