Saed News: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced that high-level officials from Iran will participate in the funeral ceremony of "Seyed Hassan Nasrallah" and stated that the Emir of Qatar's visit to Tehran is part of the ongoing interactions between the two countries.
According to a report by Saad News, citing ISNA, "Seyed Abbas Araghchi," on the sidelines of the 8th Conference on the History of Iran's Foreign Relations titled "Iran's Foreign Policy and the Gulf in the Context of History," responded to a question about whether a delegation from Iran would travel to Lebanon to attend the funeral of Seyed Hassan Nasrallah. He stated: "Decisions have been made regarding this, and high-level officials from various branches of the government, the parliament, different institutions, and political factions will participate in the ceremony."
High-Level Interactions with Qatar Are Ongoing
The Foreign Minister also addressed the Emir of Qatar's upcoming visit to Tehran and some media rumors surrounding the trip. He said: "Qatar is one of the important and influential countries in the Gulf region. Our relationship with this country is long-standing, and interactions between the two nations have been ongoing at a high level."
He added, "Recently, the President traveled to Qatar to participate in a meeting, where he also held a bilateral meeting with the Emir of Qatar. The Emir of Qatar will travel to Tehran tomorrow."
Araghchi emphasized that "important political and economic discussions between Iran and Qatar exist" and continued: "During this trip, consultations and discussions will take place on regional issues, including the situation in Palestine and Gaza, the latest developments in Syria, Yemen, and other matters."
The Foreign Minister also mentioned that "during this visit, discussions on economic issues and joint cooperation between the two countries will also take place." He dismissed some media comments about the visit and said: "The Emir of Qatar is a valuable personality, and this trip is part of the ongoing interactions between the two countries."
A Unified Stance Against the Forced Displacement of Gaza's People Must Be Taken by Islamic Countries
In response to a question about the need for practical action from Islamic countries regarding Palestine and the forced displacement plan for Gaza's people, especially considering the upcoming meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, he said: "It is essential that a unified voice be raised by Islamic countries condemning the crimes and genocide of the Israeli regime against the people of Gaza, as well as the conspiracy to forcibly displace the people of Gaza, and a unified stance on this matter should be adopted."
This senior diplomat of the Islamic Republic of Iran continued by referring to the philosophy behind the formation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. He stated: "The purpose of establishing this organization was to support the Palestinian cause, and we must ensure that the voices of Islamic countries condemning the crimes of the Israeli regime and the forced displacement plan for Gaza's people reach the world."
He added, addressing the questioning reporter: "We hope that practical steps will also be taken in this regard, and decisions will be made. As you mentioned, alongside political stances, practical steps must also be taken."
