Introduction to the Du'a of Ukkasha and Its Virtues

What is the Dua of Ukasha?

Dua is the plea and request of the servants from God, or what they consider as the Divine, to fulfill their desires. In religious texts, dua is emphasized as one of the ways to communicate with God and is considered one of the highest forms of worship. It is described in terms such as the weapon of the believer and the light of the heavens and the earth. This dua is found in Mafatih al-Jinan, and its recitation is believed to carry great rewards, with strong emphasis on the fulfillment of wishes from the Almighty.

It has been narrated with a reliable chain of transmission that once the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was sitting in the mosque, and the angel Jibril descended to him, saying: "O Messenger of God (PBUH), the Almighty sends His greetings to you and says: 'I have sent you this dua as a gift. Whoever recites it or carries it with them will receive so much reward that it will be equal to the reward of all the angels. God will forgive all their sins, and whoever recites this dua five times will see the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in a dream. Whoever is poor will become rich, and whoever is sick will be healed. Whoever is hungry will find food, whoever is thirsty will be quenched, and whoever is distressed will find happiness. Whoever is in debt will have their debt paid.'"

Virtue of Reciting Ukasha’s Dua

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "For my Ummah, there is nothing better than reciting and carrying this dua. Whoever carries it with them, when they die, seventy thousand angels will be sent with layers of light to illuminate their grave and give them the good news of safety. They will accompany the person until the Day of Judgment."

It is said that God Himself says: "I am ashamed to punish anyone who recites this dua." Jibril (A) reported that this dua is written on the pillar of the Throne with divine power, and anyone who recites it or carries it with them will be protected by seventy thousand angels standing under the Throne. Each angel has twenty heads, each head has twenty mouths, and each mouth has twenty tongues, all of which praise Allah, and the reward of this praise will be given to the person. This will fulfill all their wishes.

The Prophet (PBUH) further said that whoever recites this dua or carries it with them will receive these immense rewards. Jibril (A) added, "O Messenger of God (PBUH), whoever recites this dua will certainly enter Paradise, and those who recite it often will receive multiplied rewards."

God says: "I am ashamed to punish anyone who recites Ukasha’s dua."
