According to Saednews, Caroline Rodriguez Birket, the Ambassador of Guyana and the President of the United Nations Security Council for June, strongly protested last night during the council meeting against the insult by Danny Danon, the ambassador of the Zionist regime, toward Amir Saeed Iravani, Iran’s representative at the UN, regarding the Zionist regime’s aggressions against Iran.

According to Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper, she described Danny Danon’s behavior as disrespectful and a violation of international norms and the Security Council’s protocol.

Birket said: “I want to take this opportunity to remind everyone that this is a formal meeting, and it is essential that all adhere to its rules and use appropriate language.”

These remarks came after the Zionist regime’s ambassador spoke in an insulting tone toward Iravani during his speech at the meeting.

The UN Security Council convened for the second time on Friday night to discuss the Zionist regime’s aggressions against Iran.

The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations, at the emergency Security Council meeting regarding the Zionist regime’s hostilities held on Friday, commended the presence of the UN Secretary-General at the meeting and thanked him for his preliminary statement. He also expressed gratitude to the Deputy Secretary-General, Ms. DiCarlo, for her valuable report.

Iravani further thanked Algeria, Pakistan, China, and the Russian Federation for supporting the convening of this meeting and for their clear condemnation of the Zionist regime’s brutal attacks against Iran.

The Permanent Representative of Iran to the UN in New York stated: “Failure by the Security Council to act at this critical juncture would be a clear case of neglecting the Council’s fundamental responsibilities and a grave betrayal of the core principles of the United Nations Charter.”
