Redmi Note 14 Review: The Standard Edition of Xiaomi's Popular Mid-Range Phones / Camera Stabilization Feature

According to SaedNews, the Redmi Note 14 offers a different design compared to its predecessor, with noticeable changes in both the camera module and body design. This model is the thinnest in the Note 14 family and, weighing 190 grams, is considered lightweight and easy to handle.

Display Review

The 6.67-inch OLED display of this phone offers a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a smooth gaming and scrolling experience. The maximum brightness of the screen is more than twice that of the previous generation; with 2100 nits, it is among the best in mid-range models.

Xiaomi has also included HDR10+ support for this model to enhance contrast, brightness, and colors, resulting in more realistic images. Note that only 16% of the phones on the market support this feature, and fortunately, it is available in the latest mid-range model from this brand.

Additionally, the "Always-On Display" feature is also present in this phone's specifications. With this feature, the user can see information such as the date, time, and notifications even when the screen is off. Of course, this feature can be enabled or disabled.

Hardware Review

This new model is equipped with a mid-range chipset from MediaTek. The 6nm Dimensity 7025 Ultra chip, with an Antutu benchmark score of 430,719, provides adequate processing power for daily tasks and medium to heavy games, offering a reliable experience with 6 to 12GB of RAM. You can also choose between 128GB and 256GB of internal storage based on your needs.

The software of this phone is based on Android 14 and runs Xiaomi's new HyperOS. Like other models in this family, it is likely to receive software updates for the next three years.

Camera Review

Surprisingly, the 2024 mid-range model lacks an ultrawide lens and the 108MP camera found in its predecessor. The manufacturer has opted for a 50MP lens and a 2MP macro camera. The only significant improvement in this area is the addition of a stabilization feature for the main camera.

The main camera performs moderately in photography, providing acceptable color rendering and light capture, especially in natural light. However, we expected this camera to capture more details…

Battery Review

This phone comes with a 5110mAh battery, an upgrade from the previous year's model. You can also use a 45W charger to charge the device, which offers faster performance compared to Xiaomi's 2023 mid-range model.
