SAEDNEWS: Despite regional tensions and aerial threats, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf himself flew the airplane to travel to the Lebanese capital, Beirut on Saturday.

TEHRAN, Oct. 12 (MNA) – In a display of confidence despite ongoing regional conflicts and threats from Israel, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf flew himself to Beirut on Saturday.
"I have traveled to Beirut at the invitation of Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri to convey the message of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Iranian president to the people of Lebanon and the Resistance," Ghalibaf said upon his arrival in Lebanon. Notably, he is also a trained pilot, which added to the significance of his journey.
During his visit, Ghalibaf toured areas in central Beirut that were recently damaged by Israeli airstrikes.
After meetings with Lebanese officials, Ghalibaf is set to travel to Geneva later this evening to participate in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly. The 49th Assembly will take place in Geneva from October 13 to 17, 2024.
