SAEDNEWS: US President Threatens Military Action Against Venezuela, Mexico, and Colombia Amid Pentagon’s Advanced Fighter Jet Sale to Saudi Arabia
According to Saed News’ political desk, U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Monday, one day before hosting Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, that he intends to approve the sale of advanced F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia.
Answering reporters at the White House, Trump said, “We will do it. We will sell the F-35s. They have been an incredible ally. They must like us a lot. Look at Iran’s situation; we were able to destroy their nuclear capability.”
Trump’s claim about dismantling Iran’s nuclear program comes despite the International Atomic Energy Agency rejecting such assertions.
Reuters reports that the F-35 deal could represent a major shift in U.S. policy and alter the military balance in West Asia, while also testing the maintenance of Israel’s “qualitative military edge.”
Saudi Arabia has requested to purchase 48 F-35 jets in a multi-billion-dollar deal that reportedly has cleared a key Pentagon hurdle.
Military Strikes in Mexico ‘Not a Problem,’ Trump Says
Trump stated that approving military strikes in Mexico to stop the flow of drugs “is not a problem in my view.”
The U.S. president, who has intensified attacks on boats in the Caribbean he described as “illegal,” claimed that drug smuggling through U.S. waterways has dropped by 85 percent. “Every boat we destroy saves the lives of 25,000 Americans,” he added.
Criticizing Mexico, Trump threatened another American neighbor, saying, “Colombia has cocaine factories producing cocaine. Will I destroy those factories? I’d personally be proud to do it. I didn’t say I’m doing it, but I’d be proud if I did.”
‘I May Speak with Maduro,’ Trump Says on Venezuela
In response to a question about sending U.S. troops to Venezuela, Trump said, “I rule nothing out. We have to watch Venezuela. They’ve sent hundreds of thousands of prisoners to our country.”
He claimed that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has “done a lot of damage” to the U.S. and added that he would speak with him “at a certain point in time.”
Trump, claiming affection for Venezuela and its people, said, “I may speak with Maduro. I talk to everyone.”
Epstein Case ‘Has Nothing to Do with Republicans,’ Trump Claims
Trump also addressed the controversial Jeffrey Epstein case, saying, “We have no connection with Epstein; the Democrats did. All his friends were Democrats.”
He alleged that the release of new emails from Epstein’s properties is “a scam” and emphasized that, if Congress approves, he would sign a bill to release the full Epstein file.
Trump said, “I will give them everything.”
